Is this legitimate, or is it a scam?
The fair way to answer that is to tell you what you can check rather than to insist. Protector Class is operated by ADMBA ONE INC, a registered Ontario company you can look up in the public corporate registry. Our terms, refund policy, privacy policy and a full income disclosure are published on this site and linked in the footer of every page, before you pay anything. Every certificate we issue carries a number anyone can verify publicly.
More usefully: the company that trains you is the company that pays you. Graduates are certified by Protector Class and contracted directly by ADMBA ONE INC as independent contractors, selling the Protector Class audit and monitoring services. The commission rates on this page are written into that contract, and ADMBA ONE INC pays them. There is no third party between the programme and your commission.

Is this one of those schemes where you earn by recruiting other people?
No. You earn commission on security products sold to businesses. You can also earn a $200 bonus, once, for each rep you refer. If you have not bought the certificate yourself, it is paid when the person you refer completes the certificate, or when they close their first sale if they joined free and never buy it. If you have bought the certificate, it is paid when the person you refer closes their first sale to a business and it clears the 14-day hold. Nobody who paid to join is ever paid because someone else paid to join.
How is this different from Coursera, Udemy or a bootcamp?

Do I need the certificate to sell for Protector Class?
No. Anyone can apply for the commission-only contractor agreement with ADMBA ONE INC at no cost at /careers/sales-contractor/. Certified and uncertified reps are paid the same rate card. The difference is training, the certificate, and in Canada, 40 leads a month. This is an independent, commission-only sales contract. You contact businesses that have not asked to hear from us.
How many leads do I get, and when?
Every rep starts with 20 researched leads, each with a written security brief, and earns 20 more with every close. Certified reps in Canada receive 40 leads a month instead. In the United States, certified reps’ leads work the same as the free track. Leads you already hold are never taken back. Lead delivery is subject to availability of qualified leads. Territory matches the market preference you pick on your application. Every lead has already been through qualification and enrichment.
Can I do this part-time while I keep my job?
The training, yes, it is entirely self-paced. The sales role afterwards, not really. Once you are dialling assigned prospects you need to be reachable during North American business hours. Reps who can only work evenings and weekends reach far fewer decision-makers, and since every dollar here comes from closing, that shows up directly in what they earn.
What if I already have sales experience?
The mechanics will feel familiar and the vertical will not. Cybersecurity buyer psychology and vocabulary are what you will be picking up. We are not going to tell you how fast that turns into a first close, because we do not have enough graduates to say honestly. The curriculum is self-paced, so you set the tempo.

What does the certificate look like, and how does verification work?
A landscape PDF carrying your legal name, the Certified Protector designation in cybersecurity sales issued by the Protector Class Cybersecurity Institute, a unique certificate number, the issue date and a signature. It also carries a QR code and a printed verification link. Anyone can open that link to confirm the certificate is authentic and matches your name. To trigger issuance, email support@protectorclass.com when you have finished the curriculum. They confirm within two business days and the certificate is issued. There is no minimum time. What about tax on commission income?
U.S. reps are 1099 contractors and Canadian reps are independent contractors under the same principle. You receive gross commission and are responsible for your own income tax and self-employment tax. We provide a year-end statement of commissions paid. Talk to your own accountant about specifics, because we are not tax advisors.
